Fastwel Expands Lineup of CompactPCI Modules

Fastwel market supply has been added with 2 attractive products – CPC514 and CPC518 CPU modules in CompactPCI Serial format. Particular attention should be given to each of these devices.

As to the first module CPC514, Fastwel believes that it would be an interesting option primarily for those customers of computing systems for whom the data privacy is one of the top priorities. Based on the Russian-made Elbrus-4S processor, the CPC514 module is available in two versions: forced-cooled and conduction-cooled. The module is intended for use in real-time systems, manufacturing control and other data acquisition and processing systems utilized under harsh operating conditions and requiring reliability, information security and flexibility in supporting various expansion interfaces.

4 processor cores operating at 600 MHz, 8GB of soldered DDR3 RAM, soldered 16GB SSD combined with 3 SATA interfaces for installation of additional drives, 3x 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet ports, 9x USB 2.0 ports, an integrated video with a resolution of 1600x1200 and the AC97 audio codec make the module well-equipped and open up a wide range of applications for it.

CPC514 is a great pick for efficiently solving problems in industrial automation systems, data acquisition and processing at oil & gas enterprises, in rail and road transport, in the nuclear power industry and other areas requiring solely Russian engineering expertise. Support for the protected real-time operating system Neutrino-E makes it possible to use the new module in systems sensitive to compliance with the requirements for class 3 information protection from unauthorized access, 2 level of control over the absence of undocumented features, 2 class of protection for firewalls.

Another new product, the CPC518 CPU module in the CompastPCI Serial format, is built on the Intel Xeon-D processor family and is available in 5 versions. These include options with Intel Xeon D-1519, Xeon D-1539 and Xeon D-1559, the RAM size varies from 16 to 32 GB. Depending on the version, the operating temperature range is also optional: the user has the opportunity to choose a device that operates from 0 to + 70 °C or from -40 to + 85°С.

As with all CPU modules focused on solving the server-class tasks, the CPC518 module is equipped with 2x 10Gb Ethernet ports (2x SPF+ channels, support of Fibre Channel PCS modules), 1Gb Ethernet port, 4x USB 2.0 ports and 4x USB 3.0 ports, 6-channel SATA interface with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 support and runs on Linux 3.19; QNX 6.5.0; Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 or 10. The module is also equipped with a DisplayPort interface for outputting a video stream with a resolution up to 1920х1440@60 Hz.
