The module is implemented in PC\104+
format. These modules are used for interfacing the boards with optical
isolation digital and analog modules (optical isolation modules), measurement
of frequency (duration) and phases of signals, carrying out of computing and
timer operations, acceleration of logical and arithmetic operations, generation
of PWM signals, conversion of codes, control of alphanumeric indicators,
generation of time control diagrams and hardware event interrupts at inputs.
The module uses field-programmable gate arrays (hereinafter referred to as the
FPGA) and the In-System Programmable (hereinafter referred to as the ISP)
technology, which enable changing algorithm of module operation directly in the
system, without switching off the power supply.
